Start from the problem, not the service name.
Most people arrive knowing what is wrong with their space and not which service fixes it. These are the situations we are asked about most, and where each one leads. If yours is not here, it is a conversation rather than a category.
We have just been handed an empty flat.
A full residential fit-out: layout, joinery, finishes and services from a bare shell. This is the most straightforward case to plan, because nothing has to be worked around and every decision is still open.

Renovation. A different discipline from fitting out an empty flat — the work has to be sequenced around the household, sealed off, and often paused, and that sequencing decides both cost and how bearable it is.
RenovationOnly the kitchen is the problem.
A modular kitchen on its own is a legitimate standalone project, and usually the single largest concentrated cost in a home. Worth doing properly even if the rest of the house waits.
Modular kitchensWe are moving into or reworking a workplace.
Commercial. The design overlaps with residential; the constraints do not — a lease, a landlord, building services, multiple approvers and a date that costs money if it slips.

Design consultation. Concept, material direction and a buildable plan, without committing to execution in the same breath. It is also the right starting point when two people want different things and the brief has to be settled first.

The last layer — bespoke furnishings, beautiful decoration, and the styling that carries the promise every project is held to: it should feel like home the moment you step in.

The four stages above are what we do. This is what is asked of you — worth knowing before you start, because the cost of a decision depends almost entirely on which stage it is made in. Nearly every interiors project that runs over does so because a decision that belonged in one column was actually made in the next one.
Before consultation

During design

- Sign-off on the layout and the specification

Both. Alongside design consultation we take on turnkey execution — from the first sketch to the final styling, we manage every detail so the project feels effortless from start to finish rather than becoming something you have to coordinate yourself.
Do you work on offices and shops, or only homes?
Both. Residential work covers warm, modern homes shaped around how you actually live. Commercial work covers brand-first offices and retail environments designed to impress clients and keep teams inspired and productive.
What happens in the first consultation?
It is a conversation rather than a presentation. We talk through the space, how you use it and what you want it to become, then move into concept development, material guidance and clear design direction. Full walkthroughs, drawings and material boards are shared during consultation.
Do you supply furniture and materials, or do we source them?
Material curation and bespoke furniture are part of what we do, so you are not left to source and match everything yourself. Finishes and furniture are chosen as part of the design rather than bolted on at the end.
Who will actually be working on my project?
Avaya Udyog is led by Mr. Biswanath Adhikari, who brings over 35 years of industry experience. Because the same studio handles design and execution, you deal with one team throughout — nothing is handed to a separate contractor partway through.
How much does an interior project cost?
There is no single rate, because cost follows scope — the size of the space, how much is being rebuilt rather than refreshed, and the materials chosen. We would rather understand the project first than quote a number that turns out to be wrong. Costing is discussed openly during consultation, once there is something real to cost.
How long does each stage take?
We have not published stage durations, and we would rather say that plainly than give you a number that is not grounded in your specific project. Scope, site condition and how quickly material decisions are settled all move the schedule substantially. Ask during consultation, where it can be answered against a real space.
Can I make changes once the design is agreed?
Changes are normal, and the stage they arrive at decides what they cost. A layout change during design is inexpensive; the same change during execution means undoing work already done. This is why the design stage is worth taking slowly.
